| Bio: | "There once was a boy who dreamed of being a hero. Who believed sincerely in the battle to banish darkness from a world of light. But light and darkness are equal, and where one exists so too must the other. And when the boy finally realised this, he had taken the first step towards becoming a true hero." Pffft. Hello. You appear to have stumbled across my LiveJournal. This is probably because it was sticking out of the undergrowth like some kind of ancient Incan fertility symbol; an oversized phallus that you're lucky only managed to twist your ankle and not, say, find itself partially nestled within you. It's vaguely possible you've been linked here by something else, though I've no idea how, in which case the analogy of tripping over something during your myopic excursions is somewhat less valid. In the latter instance, you might've been following a map, and have taken an idle detour to see whether this particular monument was really worth climbing over and poking around inside. In which case, go ahead. Poke around inside me. No, don't really do that. Jesus. Get off of me. This journal, this diary, exists as a self-indulgence. It doesn't mention my real name, nor does it more than tacitly refer to real-life things I'm professionally affiliated with (Although reading will make it obvious I have been involved with a little journalism). It's my catharsis and my release. It is very flawed and I apologise but sometimes I do repeat myself, ramble, digress or just refuse to make any real sense. I update quite regularly and I sometimes even make worthwhile posts, but hey, it's mine, so it's up to me what I do with it. I do warn you that some of the older entries make me cringe, so you may well do the same. As for me, I am trying to be a 'homo neophilus', I often communicate in quotes and what are arguably obscure counterculture and cult references, document some of my conversations with my friends (with myself speaking in italics for, I don't know, effect), write about films occasionally and am generally passionate and angry. Rawrgh. This journal is hugely referential and, yes, sometimes the colours mean something. (Incidentally, italics also denote quotes from a source, when they are not used in a conversational context. Sorry for the confusion. Which I'm sure there will be much of.) If you want to get my attention then it's best to either try to contact me by AIM (fairly reliable) or add me to your friends list (possibly posting to explain why).
